tfw you're supposed start a completely new class in less than 24 hours and have no fucking clue what you're teaching them...I have absolutely no resources to work off of. Literally NONE o m f G. Ok the people at work are actually unbelievably hardworking. I asked one girl what she was teaching them and she told me I'm supposed to be doing rates and ratios. Then when I asked her what resources she was using she said "I borrowed 2 textbooks from uni and bought my own, then took bits and pieces from the 4 textbooks to make my own worksheets."

Can people motherfucking not oh my lord I'm seriously not ok with this who the fuck has time for this. My students have the laziest teacher. I think I'm going to go to sleep and deal with this shit tomorrow I actually can't. Maybe I should go tutor early tomorrow and look for resources............

Thursday night had CNY dinner with townhouse. Nothing much happened just catch ups. Went to get donuts from KK afterwards because they had a special. Stomach fat rolls are growing bigger lmao.

Friday

Woke up and was too lazy to go anywhere...then Feng called and she was heading to Burwood so I finally decided to get off my ass and do something. Went to shop for some clothes and actually ended up buying stuff which never happens lmao. Feng always picks out good clothes. Had some cold Korean noodles and bulgogi beef stew for dinner before watching Split which was really good :)

Feng came home with me and we went to watch Chinese New Year fireworks with cousins! Ran into Roxie at the temple and I'm pretty sure I was taught by her friend once at Jimmys lmao. Here's some shitty photos. The firecrackers were extremely loud and incredibly close. (see what I did there)

Woke up early af in the morning to take townhouse photos. Spot me being tired of this shit

Then I went to tutor hw class hehehe so easy so fun I love it and then went to Amy's Grandma's house to tutor Kevin but they were having their New Year's celebration so we couldn't really be bothered to tutor HAHAHA.

Some of her relatives gave me red pocket wtf?? They probs didn't want me to feel left out lmao. It was pretty fun. We went out to play with Stephen's drone and ride his bike. Drones are so cool. Today

Dropped Amy off at Bankstown, then went home to prep for tutoring. OMFG I SPENT SO LONG PREPPING TODAY CUS I HAD TO MAKE STUFF UP FOR THEM TO LEARN I HAVE NO LESSON PLANS LEFT LMAO. Taught them some quick division rules which I had never actually learnt myself LIKE WOW I KNOW HOW TO QUICKLY CHECK IF SOMETHING IS DIVISIBLE BY 7 NOW. Also made lesson plan for basic Pythagoras Theorem but didn't get up to it :(

Went home to find Amy in my house what an intruder omfg. Stephen came too, we ordered thai and ate whilst finishing Slumdog (also drank sugar cane yassssss). 

Had to change to retake CNY photos because some people missed out yesterday. We cute though. 

Amy tried to take photos of me playing piano but they will never see the light of day so you have to be satisfied with this one of me running away from her

Tennis makes me so anxious and upset. I am annoyed at Federer for always fucking doing this to me. I went to see this with Feng today and for some reason she didn't know it was a horror so her reaction was like wtf. It was so good though HIGHLY RECOMMEND. It's a psychological horror about these three girls who are abducted by a guy with associative identity disorder (DID - multiple personalities). It's more of a thriller than a horror tbh BUT ITS REALLY INTENSE AND INTERESTING. Also it's not supernatural so even if you hate horror movies you should still watch this.

I liked the main girl (she has a very unique face) but fucking Haley Lu Richardson was soooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying I think I'm carrying on like residual hatred of her character from Edge of Seventeen but she was utterly useless in this movie as well.

Her acting was quite shit as well. 

James McAvoy was incredible. For every single personality he would change his voice/accent and the way he carried himself so you could tell exact who was in his body at that moment. In one scene he switched back and forth between personalities and it was so trippy. 

I can't have been the only one to think "hmmm maybe I have DID". Fek can you imagine having that many people living inside you and everyone fighting to take over your body goodbye. 

Only complaint is I wanted to see more of the other personalities (there were 23 in total). They only showed a couple in the movie. The movie is getting a lot of flack from medical experts for its portrayal of the disorder :(

Watched the Oscar nominations live yesterday whilst halfway through a Westworld episode. Lion got 6 nominations yay but they're probably not going to win anything cus La La Land and Moonlight going to take them all :( Garth wasn't nominated for best director why he is so kind and nice

Best picture nominations I have yet to see (ranked by my anxiousness to see them):

1. Hacksaw Ridge - I legitimately got so many chills just from watching the trailer just then. Was avoiding all the hype about this movie because I thought it was going to be a dull war movie but this actually looks sooooooooooooooooooooooo good. ANDREW GARFIELD FINALLY NOMINATED FOR AN OSCAR TOO WOOOOOOOOOP!!! (only sessions times are 9pm at Entertainment Quarter Hoyts tho wtf)

2. Manchester by the Sea - I love intimate dramas plus want to figure out what makes a good actor (Casey Affleck) - coming out 2nd Feb AND I WANT TO GO SEE ITTTTTTTT. He has this weird charisma on and off screen like idk how to describe it. He looks so much better without the beard seriously GET RID OF IT PLEASE

3. Arrival - can't believe I haven't seen this major ragrats. these memes tho

4. Hidden Figures - trailer looks mildly interesting

5. Fences - there's this part in the trailer where Viola Davis is so emotional she spurts boogers from her nose lol (ok found it)

I didn't really like this movie that much it just made me kinda sad but not that sad because I knew how it would end and was expecting it sooooooooooooooooooooooo yah. I wasn't that invested. Its a really slow burn movie. The end credits were beautiful though. Acting was so good I felt like a fucking third wheel for most of the movie.

Ok just watched Moonlight and I think it was pretty good??? I found it so trippy how you could have 3 different actors playing the same person at different stages of their life yet they feel completely the same???  The acting was fucking amazing from everyone.

 THIS WAS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SCENES it was shot so beautifully *sobs* + music was so good and ugh everything

I didn't really know anything before going watching it except that the ratings were fucking apeshit and everyone's saying la la land vs moonlight for best picture. I liked this more than La La Land.

Impromptu sleep over at Amy's yesterday because we were both working so late doing our own tutoring stuff. Finished at 1am then blogged last night's blog post and wasted time until 4am.

Woke at 10 today Was forced awake by Oscar whining in my face to pat him and Amy stroking my feet being like, "omg they're so nice except for the bunions." bish what

Drove to Westfield for breakfast at The Shed and it was actually really yummy! We shared a chicken, pear and rocket sandwich and a chicken, avo and onion jam burger. SO GOOD. Rushed to Cabra to tutor the Year 6s. Same same. It's the same thing every single week I'm so done and tired of marking. Need to hustle and start doing my reports + prepping for this year in advance.

Then went home, caught up on news, wrapped Crystal's present, drove like a madman to Fairfield station, did the shittest parking job ever then jumped outta the car and sprinted across the bridge as the train was pulling into the station.

Solid fraction of our group turned up to Holy Basil with Lok Yan being the biggest surprise cus we had no idea she was coming. Chill dinner which was actually pretty cheap considering we got fried ice cream as well. Exchanged KK gifts and I was so sad cus Crystal wasn't there :(

 I fucking knew Lulu had me OMFG she was being so so so sus at my house she kept asking me if I actually wanted the donation thing and I kept insisting that I did and she'd be like "omg but that's so sad if you don't get anything on the night" and I was like "nah I actually don't want anything else". Also there was like a weird exchange between her and Feng that they tried to brush off.

BUT YAYAYYYYYYYYYYYY im so happy I was so worried my KK would think I was joking about Uweza but NAHHHHHHHHHH YAYAAYYYYSSSSSSSSSSS we even got a plaque for the donation and I say we because technically its Lulu's donation. She also got me donuts gurlllllllllll I'm eating them as I'm writing this no joke. (Here is Uweza Foundation post if you don't know what I'm talking about)

So hyped for this movie. Its directed by the same guy who directed Ain't Them Bodies Saints and features the same actors as well. There are no trailers for it but it looks so aesthetic from the few released movie stills. Premieres at 12:15 pm @ Sundance Festival in Utah which is like 6:15 am here today?? Looking forward to reviews.
