Cambodiyeet: Back To School :(

Thank fuck only have 2 days of school then 1 day of hospital this week YEET

Had a pretty good Khmer class with Tola today. He always makes it like fun and engaging omfg he taught us how to say boobs and hard on and "How was Kampot?" + "IT WAS EXTRA HAPPY!!!!!". Every fucking word in Khmer is so similar that if you say it slightly wrong u always end up saying something rude. We learnt how to say some useful things like "where is the hardware store" and "I can fix it" and "it is broken" BECAUSE RIP in the province I'm in for the second month, NO ONE CAN FUCKING SPEAK ENGLISH!!! and how do i know this?? My tutor kid was like there for the past few days and I was talking to her and ffssssssss its bad. She was like its a small town, no one knows english... lots of dirt roads and markets, not like the city.  gg to me i should start getting used to squat toilets. I still haven't peed or pooed in a squat toilet this whole time. also i'm hella constipated lmaoooooooooo bowels aren't moving at all. Oh yeah we also learnt how to say "my butt is closed."

for lunch we trekked to Sorya Mall for pepper lunch, just got some garlic beef shit, was ok.

Rushed back in time for Larry's lecture and like literally started falling asleep 2 minutes into his lecture. We went through pulse oximeters?? and like something else but I didn't hear because I was microsleeping.

Then for our lab today, we had to venture out into Phnom Penh near Olympic markets to find the spare parts for the machines we were working on during the hospital visits. They recommended that we go to one electronics store that had literally EVERYTHINGGGGGGGGGGG. We found a battery that matched the broken one in the patient monitor from two weeks ago and bought it yeet. Wandered around trying to find a nylock nut for Stephen's machine but could not.

Then went back to uni and bought a roti from a food vendor outside. IT WAS SO HECKING GOOD and only costed 75 cents i fucking love Cambodian prices. Crunchy and so warmmmmmmmm

Went back to class and we all reported on the things we had bought lmaoooo.  Then Will gave a quick lecture about discharging batteries. He's like one of the coordinators on the trip but I legit can't look at him the same way after seeing how cooked he was over the weekend at the jungle party ffs.

Then we connected a resistor across a battery to let it discharge for the lab we doing tomorrow.

Then we had a bit of an early mark and went to the pharmacy to buy more scrubs, then to burger king, then to Stephen's homestay because he has a phat tv and nice living room. We watched half of the new black mirror choose ur own adventure episode before everyone had to go home for dinnerrrrrrrrrr. also tried some super spicy noodles and the first noodle was ok but the second bite was towards the end so had so much fucking sauce and my tongue almost burnt off.

ate sooooooooo mcuh for dinner ffs it was like this super yum salty fish and soup and omelette bruhhh i haven't eaten that much all trip. YEET, just sent an email off the order some exec polos for wiesoc

i am missing home and my friends and not having to socialise all the time lmao because like i feel like some people i'm only tolerating because i have to be with them for another two weeks BUT DAS OK.
